Industrial Safety Trainers (IST) is here for you! During these difficult times, some business need to keep open to support the people of Ontario. Health and Safety doesn’t take a back seat to anything. IST is continuing to provide training and consulting services to Ontario businesses.
To ensure the safety of our trainers, consultants and support staff we have developed procedures based on a COVID Risk Assessment and those safety controls are communicated to all clients as part of our due diligence. Training and Consulting looks different these days, we have been creative in ensuring that our programs are effective and engaging.
Consulting
We continue to offer our consulting, coaching and mentoring services. We have become proficient in Distance Consulting using Zoom Meetings. If on-site visits are needed, we take every precaution reasonable to protect our staff as well as yours. Our most popular requests these days are coaching and mentoring business in conducting COVID-19 Risk Assessments, contact us to discuss if you are ready to work with COVID.
Distance learning
Distance Learning is new to the Health & Safety world. As part of being creative in our training deliveries, we are now able to offer a face to face learning approach online. The following are programs we currently offer in a Distance Learning environment:

Private on-site training
All on-site safety training requests will have to follow the following protocols as we adhere to the practices put forth by the Ontario Government to remain safe during COVID-19:
- Venue large enough to ensure trainer and participants, as well as any other personnel, can adhere to social distancing protocol (6 feet or 2 meters apart)
- Our trainer will wear gloves where possible and sanitize all surfaces they come in contact with and follow proper hand washing practices
- Our trainer will arrive with proper PPE and we encourage participants to do the same
- Participants that are sick will not be allowed to be a part of the course
Please note that all of our Trainers are screened for COVID-19 exposure regularly.

Classroom Training (Public)
In an effort to do our part towards reducing the spread of COVID-19, we are postponing all public training sessions up to June 15. As new information becomes available we may have to postpone additional sessions. If so, those affected will be contacted directly. Check our web site for updates to the public training schedule.
