Sales & Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

Engaged in development and implementation of crucial tactics for sales, customer service, consulting and marketing initiatives for IST’s current and existing clients with a robust emphasis on new client business development. Specifically, assists in planning and creating strategies, activities, and resources for the purpose of conveying the most positive marketing message to target markets, to achieve an amplified client base and an increased revenue stream. Directly responsible for oversight of the creation and distribution of marketing communications, website maintenance and other associated marketing actions. Serves as the main liaison between the company and its clients to ensure growth in sales and superior customer service.

Responsible for formulating and executing Industrial Safety Trainer’s annual sales and marketing plan, in tandem with the management team, to meet or exceed the annual sales budget as approved by the President.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and mentoring Sales team of Account Managers to foster and ensure annual revenue goals are achieved
  • Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Leads internal activities involved in development of new client accounts. Addresses all aspects of corporate client accounts
  • Formulate a comprehensive annual Sales & Marketing plan that sets out clear objectives, strategies, action plans, time frames and assigns accountability to enable IST to achieve its’ annual revenue goals
  • Perform as a functional bridge between contracted marketing representative and internal stakeholders. Co-ordinate all marketing related tasks and directly manage the vendor
  • Enables all required website maintenance inclusive of new content and maintenance of public session dates. Ability to apply strategies for continuous improvement of website ranking on Google
  • Digital & Content Marketing direction; contributes to design ideas to marketing materials following the Marketing Plan or other initiatives as developed. This is inclusive of blogs, Social Media and any other associated platform, for new and existing clients related to upcoming training opportunities
  • Analyzes the results of marketing initiatives to ensure efforts are meeting company objectives
  • Plans and maintains all aspects of public training offerings
  • Employs analytical techniques to gather pertinent data on social media and website analytics and sales reporting
  • Identify and facilitate trade show opportunities and attendance
  • Conduct market analysis of target areas or industries; as well as competition
  • Identify and facilitate speaking engagement opportunities
  • Functioning member of management team; involvement with strategic initiatives for continuous improvement of the business

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional understanding of sales science and techniques
  • Superior commitment to customer service
  • Basic level of understanding of SEO strategies and Google Analytics;
  • Rudimentary experience with digital and content marketing
  • Computer literate with a minimum senior level of proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfortable with troubleshooting IT scenarios
  • Ability to learn and utilize specialty software programs; experience with WordPress & Adobe Illustrator optimally
  • Problem-solving abilities; achieving results consistently despite obstacles
  • Adept at handling constant interruptions / Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details

Remuneration: $50,000.00 per annum
